| Thursday, February 2nd | Imbolc and CandlemasImbolc is one of the four principal festivals of the Irish calendar, celebrated among Gaelic peoples and some other Celtic cultures, halfway between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox. Originally dedicated to the goddess Brigid, in the Christian period it was adopted as St Brigid's Day. Traditionally a time of weather prognostication, and the old tradition of watching to see if serpents or badgers came from their winter dens is perhaps a precursor to the North American Groundhog Day. Candlemas is another traditional celebration on this date. |

| Saturday, February 4th | Spiritual Counselor and Life GuideWe all seek answers and guided assistance in our life and it is natural to reach out for information that might make our journey less confusing. Celtic Myth and Moonlight is very happy to have Spiritual Counselor and Life Guide Garrick in our shop. Garrick seeks to deliver the messages and hopefully provide the Universal insight that may serve and aid all those who desire infinite assistance. Garrick receives messages from Spirit Guides who speak with him, delivering non-judgmental messages to help those who seek answers to questions of career, relationships, health, life purpose, spiritual growth and personal development. Approaching each session in a post-meditative state, messages are delivered in the same reverent and non-judgmental manner as they are received. The Guides are usually very direct in their answers, and Garrick delivers exactly what is said, unfiltered by our third dimension consciousness. Very often led to visions of past lives and their connection with the present lifetime, Garrick may view the participant's palms to be guided to important information - past, present, and future. Viewing a photograph or holding a personal object may also derive important information that helps to bring a new clarity and understanding for current life dilemmas. While he does not "speak with the dead" or channel particular departed individuals, Garrick may at times receive distinct conversations with a departed soul known to the participant. Garrick has lived in France, Spain, Greece, Norway, Mexico, as well as the USA. Garrick has pursued his spiritual path while living, traveling, and working throughout Latin America and the European countries that were the center of his youth. Garrick's "gift" has assisted him and his global clients in their personal development, business success, and important spiritual growth. We hope you can stop by to meet and speak with Garrick as this may be his last visit to the shop for awhile as he journeys to Spain. His sessions are one-half hour and will be held in the shop from 10 AM through 4 PM. Garrick does not request personal payment, but asks a $20.00 cash donation that will benefit Foundation Chateau Blanc, a foundation to promote culture, spirituality, and the arts. Please call the shop to book your appointment. Also, please check Garrick's website. |

No one celebrates Hogmanay (New Year's Eve) quite like the Scots! From traditional fire festivals and torchlight processions to street parties with live music and fireworks, they've got it all.

January 2013
Held at the John Carroll School, 703 E Churchville Rd., Bel Air, MD 21014.
Burns Night is annually celebrated in Scotland on or around January 25. It commemorates the life of the bard (poet) Robert Burns, who was born on January 25, 1759. The day also celebrates Burns' contribution to Scottish culture. Burns' best known work is "Auld Lang Syne". Many hold a "Burns' supper" on or near this night, with toasts and readings of his poetry. The evening may center on the entrance of the haggis on a platter to the sound of bagpipes. When the haggis is on the table, the host reads the "Address to a Haggis", an ode that Robert Burns wrote to the Scottish dish, at the end of which the haggis is ceremonially sliced into two pieces and the meal begins.
