Greetings!

It’s amazing that the month of August will soon be here, and I have to wonder where all the time has gone!  It’s been a true summer this year with its bouts of high heat and humidity, and you can see fields of corn and grain standing tall in the hot summer sun.  Crops are full and heavy with their bounty, and we give thanks for nature’s abundance as we begin our slow journey into autumn. August 1st is the traditional festival of Lughnasadh, which marks the first harvest.  Also known as the Feast of Bread, it is commemorated by baking loaves of bread made from the first harvested grains of the season. It is a time to enjoy nature’s gifts and to remember all the blessings we have as the days slowly grow darker.  So enjoy your summer, bask in the warmth of the sun, be sure to play as much as you can, and smile as you gather all the gifts that August brings.

I love the waning season of summer, but also look forward to autumn and its quiet beauty.  The shop is slowly making its transition from summer to fall, and soon you will see all the oranges, blacks, and reds of a new season.  Look for beautiful new Tree of Life designs by Keith Jack of Scotland , trees of sterling silver with branches tipped in 18K gold.  Painted canvas plaques with images of owls, crows, and black cats hang on the wall, all ready to delight in their passage to fall.  Gemstone apple pendants hang in gnarly trees, ripe with their promise of nature’s bounty and protection.  Beautiful ceramic vials hang from branches, ready to be filled with your own special potion.  I look forward to this seasonal transition within the shop, holding onto the warmth of summer yet looking forward to all the subtle changes that autumn brings.

Vladimir Cucura will be in the shop on Saturday, August 7th from 11 AM to 4 PM offering his healing Reiki Treatments.  Vladimir offers 15-minute, 30-minute, and 60-minute sessions at a cost of $15.00, $30.00, and $60.00 respectively.  Please call the shop to book your appointment, or stop by to meet and speak with Vladimir about the healing powers of Reiki.

Readings by William are being held on Tuesday, August 10th as well as Tuesday, August 24th from noon through 5 PM.  William is a High Priest of Palo Mayombe with Santeria initiations.  William uses a combination of tarot and cowrie shells to give a complete reading.  His sessions are $21.00.  Please contact the shop to book your appointment.

Dawn Buffalo Heart, Psychic and Medium, will be in the shop on Saturday, August 14th offering Akashic Record Consultations.  Akashic Records are the Book of Knowledge for each Soul, situation, and relationship in existence.  They contain every thought, word, action and intention of each.  Consultations can address any issue or topic, as they give access to the omniscience of the universe.  While the energy of the Records is very powerful, sessions are gentle and healing occurs.  Seekers should prepare a list of detailed questions; “how” and “why” questions are best.  Dawn’s readings are 30 minutes for $45.00, 45 minutes for $60.00, 60 minutes for $80.00, with longer times available.  Just call the shop to book your appointment. 

Robert Moyer will be in the shop on Saturday, August 21st from 12 PM through 4 PM offering his intuitive Tarot Readings .  Bob’s readings are 30-minutes with a cost of $30.00 per session.  Bob also does past-life readings, palm readings, and rune castings.  Please call the shop to book your appointment and let us know which type of reading you prefer.  Also, Bob is offering Mentoring Sessions on Tarot, Runes, and Palmistry.  The cost and timing are the same as above, but he will guide you into learning more about the intuitive arts.  Just let us know your preference as you make your appointment.  At this time, Robert is fully booked for this day.  Appointments are being taken for Saturday, September 18th.

The 8th Annual Celtic Oyster Festival is being held on Saturday, August 28th from noon to 9 PM at St. Benedict’s Grove, Route 10, Mohnton.  Join us for a fun-filled day complete with great Celtic entertainment, delicious foods, Clans, Heraldry, and Crafts and Wares from the Celtic Nations.  Music by John Whelan, The Hooligans, Charlie Zahm, Trinity, and Runa.  The Reid School of Highland Dance, The Broesler School of Irish Dance, and the Hamilton Celtic Pipe Band will also be performing at this event.  Admission at the gate is $11.00 per adult, $9.00 ages 13 to 20, age 12 and under are free.  You can also purchase advance tickets at www.CelticOysterFest.com at a reduced price.   Celtic Myth and Moonlight is happy to be a part of the festivities, and hope to see you there!.

Readings by Waterfae are being held in the shop on Saturday, August 28th from 1 PM to 5 PM.  Naomi’s readings are $10.00 with no appointment needed at this time.  Come in to meet Naomi and see what your future might offer!

Celtic Myth and Moonlight is pleased to welcome Author and Tarot Reader Diane Wing to our shop on Tuesday, September 14th from 3 PM to 9 PM.  Hailing from the New Hope area, Diane is author of “Coven”, and “The True Nature of Tarot”.  Diane has 25-years of professional Tarot reading experience, and is founder of the Wing Academy of Unfoldment, a virtual Mystery school providing classes in the esoteric and occult arts.  Diane will be offering Tarot readings from 3 PM to 7 PM, then will be offering a free lecture on Psychic Self Defense from 7 PM to 8 PM, with a book signing thereafter.  Diane is offering special pricing for her readings that day, with prices set at $30.00 for a 15-minute reading, and $60.00 for a 30-minute reading.  Longer readings are available upon request.  Please contact the shop to book your appointment and to reserve your space for the lecture.  Seating is limited, so please call us as soon as possible to book your spot.
