Greetings!

One only has to walk outside to know that the beautiful, bewitching month of May has arrived!  The mighty oaks and ash are wrapped in their bright green cloaks of spring, while cherry and dogwood trees bud with flowers as though crowned by nature herself.  It's a time of renewal and fertility, a time to commingle with the rebirth of the land.  May 1st marks the Celtic festival of Beltaine, which celebrates nature's procession from spring into summer.  It is a time of merriment, to embrace life as we dance around a maypole strung with fresh flowers and ribbons.  Fires are lit to ensure good luck and prosperity for the coming months, and hawthorn branches are brought indoors to weave the enchantment of the faerie realm into your life.   I hope that this beautiful month enriches your life with its magic, and that the coming season brings you the brightest of blessings.

Celtic Myth and Moonlight is welcoming in the month of May with many new items.  We have a wonderful assortment of framed prints by the Celtic Card Company in stock, each with their own Celtic saying from times old and new.  Crystal Medicine bags are here, each handcrafted leather pouch is filled with crystals and stones to help you get through the times of your life.  We have lots of Celtic scarves in stock, as well as a variety of tapestries to lay on your bed or hang onyour wall.  Beautiful gemstone pendants are here, the display case glimmering with emerald, moldavite, ruby, and other precious stones.  We hope you can stop by and take a look at our many new offerings for the month of May!

We all seek answers and guided assistance in our life and it is natural to reach out for information that might make our journey less confusing.  Celtic Myth and Moonlight is very happy to have Spiritual Counselor and Life Guide Garrick in our shop on Saturday, May 5th as well as Saturday, May 19th.  Garrick seeks to deliver the messages and hopefully provide the Universal insight that may serve and aid all those who desire infinite assistance.  Garrick receives messages from Spirit Guides who speak with him, delivering non-judgmental messages to help those who seek answers to questions of career, relationships, health, life purpose, spiritual growth and personal development.  Spirit Guide messages are delivered in the same reverent and non-judgmental manner as they are received.    The Guides are usually very direct in their answers, and Garrick delivers exactly what is said, unfiltered by our third dimension consciousness.  Very often led to visions of past lives and their connection with the present lifetime, Garrick may view the participant's palms to be guided to important information - past, present, and future.  Viewing a photograph or holding a personal object may also derive important information that helps to bring a new clarity and understanding for current life dilemmas.  While he does not "speak with the dead" or channel particular departed individuals, Garrick may at times receive distinct conversations with a departed soul known to the participant.

We are very pleased to have author/teacher Diane Wing in our shop on Monday, May 7th at 7 PM presenting a workshop entitled "Energetic Overwhelm: A Course for Empaths".  What is an "Empath?"  This is a person who is very open, very sensitive, and who is capable of absorbing the energies of those around them.  They feel the emotional pain of others as though it is their own.  They feel depressed and anxious for no apparent reason.  What is actually happening is that they are taking on the negativity of others.  If this sounds like you, this course will teach you to set energetic boundaries so that you can be compassionate without actually taking on the emotions of others, thus allowing you to have more energy and live a happier life.  The course is one-hour in length, with a tuition of $25.00 per person.  Please contact the shop to book your space for this event. Diane will also be available for Tarot Readings that day, from 3 PM to 5 PM.  She is offering readings at a special rate as per the following:

            $60.00 for a 1/2 hour reading (normally $75.00)

            $30.00 for a 15- minute reading (normally $40.00)

            $120.00 for a one hour reading (normally $150.00)

Robert Moyer will be in the shop on Saturday, May 12th from 12 PM through 4 PM offering his intuitive Tarot Readings.  Bob’s readings are 30-minutes with a cost of $30.00 per session.  Bob also does past-life readings, palm readings, and rune castings.  Please call the shop to book your appointment and let us know which type of reading you prefer.  Also, Bob is offering Mentoring Sessions Runes, and Palmistry.  The cost and timing are the same as above, but he will guide you into learning on more about the intuitive arts.  Just let us know your preference as you make your appointment.

Bob Moyer is also the host of "Tuning In" which is being held on Tuesday, May 8th from 8 PM to 8:30 PM.  This week Bob's guest is Nancee Lemerhart who will be speaking about the Senior Citizens Art Festival at RACC.  "Tuning In" is found on BCTV Channel 13/Comcast or Channel 19/Service Electric. 

May 13 to 19th is the "Random Purposeful Acts of Kindness Week".  Brought to you by the Committee for a Kinder Community and Unity of Reading, this week is a time to think about all the goodness in Reading rather than all the negative aspects.  As you make your way through the week, please lend a hand to those in need whether it be a smile, giving an unexpected compliment, or anything that would promote a sense of goodwill in these troubled times.

Spiritual Readings by Grace are being held on Thursday, May 17th from 1 PM to 4 PM.  Gracey Lau is a minister and counselor who has been reading Tarot for 35 years.  She sees the Tarot deck as a story of our path through life on the physical, mental, intuitive, and spiritual planes.  The focus of her readings is you, and the potentials and possibilities you are working with.  Gracey was born and raised in the deserts of Arizona and moved to the Reading area a few years ago.  She looks forward to reading for you.    Gracey's readings are $20.00 per each half-hour session.  Please contact the shop to book your appointment.

The 52nd Annual Colonial Highland Gathering at Fair Hills Racetrack in Fair Hill, Maryland is being held on Saturday, May 19th from 8 AM to 6 PM.  Held rain or shine, this event features Pipe and Drum bands, Highland Games and Dancers, fiddlers, weavers, vendors and much more!  Entertainment by Barleyjuice, Burning Bridget Cleary, The Hooligans, and Charlie Zahm. Matthew "Cat" Orifice will be in the shop on Saturday, May 26th from noon through 4 PM offering Tarot Readings.  Matthew has been an active follower of the natural path for 25+ years.  Experienced in Tarot and other forms of divination, Cat will be offering tarot readings as well as a unique stave style reading and a pendulum-based energy flow reading; all excellent tools to assist you on your quest for personal self-development.  Cat's readings are 30-minutes with a cost of $20.00 per session.  Please contact the shop to book your appointment.
