Celtic Seasons Cross Wall Plaque

This beautifully complex Celtic knotwork cross bears imagery of al the seasons at its four corners: spring at the top with wildflowers and a young buck, summer to the right with mature Scottish thistles and a maturing buck, autumn at the bottom with oak leaves, acorns and a buck in his mating prime, and finally winter to the left with the holly and the buck ready for the fallow times ahead. Lunar phases and symbolism figure prominently throughout the entwining knotwork.
